? Calendula is a plant that has been used for centuries for ornamental purposes, as well as culinary, cosmetic and medicinal reasons. Even if you’re not quite sure what it is, you probably are familiar with marigolds. This plant is in the same species as marigolds and often called by the alternative name pot marigold.

Calendula is one of the herbal powerhouses used in our products. Known for its anti inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial & antifungal properties, Calendula is an amazing wound healing herb with topical benefits for conditions ranging from eczema, psoriasis and acne to diaper rash and more. It can be used in a salve, infused oil, lotion or cream topically. Calendula is very easy to grow even in pots! Harvest the flowers in the heat of summer, midday is best when the oils are at their peak. They can be eaten raw in salads, stews & broths or dried & saved to be used medicinally in herbal applications later.
